ApiMini for the withdrawal of queens

The ApiMini system is very similar to the Nikot system. Its main difference is that the number of cells for substituting the bowl is reduced to 32. But this amount is quite enough for a small home apiary or for breeding the queens in several stages. After the transfer of the larvae (after three days), the system is again ready for use.

With the purchase of an additional set of bowls you can receive each batch of queens at intervals of three days. But for this it is necessary to prepare the families of the educator and the nucleus (see all the secrets of the motherhood in F.Ruttner's book "Matkovodstvo").

ApiMini standard equipment:

•     The basic honeycomb (with 32 cells for the bowls) and the lattice for isolation of the uterus
•     32 bowls for laying eggs in them
•     20 socles for mounting on the inoculum
•     20 holders for bowls
•     15 protective curlers (cells for the uterus or queen cup)

ApiMini system for removing the queens. ApiMini's design is quite simple and convenient to use. The main cell has 32 cells where the bowls are inserted. After the closure of the uterine cap on the cassette, the uterus is forced to debug the eggs in the substituted bowls.

A good seeding of this system was noted. Due to the limited number of cells for laying eggs in the ApiMini system, the uterus sows the honeycomb in all the bowls. A special grid for isolation of the uterus gives a consolidated access for the passage of the bees to the honeycomb and at the same time reliably isolates the uterus on the honeycomb.

After seeding, the uterus is released, the lattice is removed and the ApiMini system is returned back to the family until the larvae appear. It is important to keep the distance from the ApiMini cassette to the neighboring honeycomb no less than 8m (preferably about 1-1.5cm) for free access to bees and quality care for the larvae in the first hours of their life.

The larvae from the cassette are transferred in the mithochki to the inoculum. The bowls are placed in special holders, and the socles for these holders are prepared on the inoculum. Mature queen cells on the output are isolated with protective cells (hair curlers).

Unlike the Nicot system in ApiMini, there is no possibility of replanting the queens. This function is partially implemented in the senior model of Api-Mana "Max".
