Protective cap for mother liquor

These caps are used in many western beekeeping farms to protect the queen cells when they are transferred from the nursing family to new bee colonies, layers or nucleuses. Even when putting the queen cell in their family, they use protective queen cells. Soft plastic allows avoid squeezing the queen with adjacent frames or fingers. Large perforation in the form of a grill avoids damage to the mother liquor and at the same time maintains the optimal temperature for the full development of the uterus.

Caps are made of two types and differ only in their ears:

- cap No. 1 with tabs on both sides for installation between frames
- cap No. 2 with an elongated eyelet on one side for cutting into a honeycomb

A cap No. 1 with tabs on both sides is placed between adjacent frames. Ears allow you to securely fix the mother fruit. It is recommended to use for mature queen cells at the outlet. The cap No. 2 can be installed in the middle of the honeycomb with an elongated eyelet in the honeycomb. It is believed that in the middle of the honeycomb is a more suitable temperature for the ripening of the mother liquor and the development of the uterus.
