This tube was released to the beekeeping market a few years after the first model with a wooden piston. In this Flaubert model, the manufacturer took into account all the observations and wishes of the beekeepers.
One of the most important innovations of this tube is the presence of a special hole in the middle of the glass tube. This hole is used to place the queen bee inside without removing the piston. The shape of the hole is made with bumps to catch the uterus right on the honeycomb. So the beekeeper (especially the beginner) can attach the tube to the honeycomb with the uterus and put it in the Flaubert tube and mark it without any risk of injuring the uterus.
The base of the piston also has a soft paralon surface for "delicate" fixation of the uterus under the net for the time of tagging. The piston itself has now become metallic, which gives it more durability. Also note the direction of the piston strictly perpendicular to the uterus. This is achieved through the construction of a similar to a medical syringe. Plastic handles with a rubberized base allow a smooth stroke of the piston. This is especially important when marking young and mobile queens. Labeling the uterus with this device takes you less than a minute.
Done in the Czech Republic.
