For beehive frames use a variety of different types of wire, but to work with food you need stainless steel. This wire is optimal for frames 0.4 mm thick. Such a thickness gives the frames sufficient tension strength and is easily fused into the wax.

Bees take this wire well, build honeycombs on it and grow brood, not missing the place of combining the wax with the wire. The plastic reel 85 mm high is easy to use and can hold 250 g of wire with a length of 240 meters.
